Alcohol
underline

Alcoholic drinks are very much a mixed blessing. On the plus side, many people find that alcohol helps them to relax and socialise, but on the negative side it can cause illness, accidents and antisocial behaviour including violence.

Alcohol has a number of potentially harmful effects on your body’s ability to absorb and use many of the important nutrients in your food, especially vitamins and minerals.

‘If you drink regularly you should make
sure that your diet is rich in vitamins and minerals’

Avoid processed foods, which tend to be low in important nutrients and steer clear of saturated fats and fried foods because these can place an extra burden on your liver and gall bladder, which are already over worked through coping with the alcohol.

To keep your vitamins level high, eat:
Fruit
Leafy vegetables
Whole grain rice
Dried beans
Nuts
Lean meat
Poultry

You need Vitamins B1, B5, B6 and B12.

To keep you mineral levels high, eat:
Eggs
Fish
Shellfish
Brazil nuts
Almonds
Calcium rich cheese

Cheese

AND DO NOT FORGET TO FLUSH YOUR
SYSTEM OUT WITH WATER, YOUR BODY WILL NEED IT!!
